GiveDirectlyGiveDirectly UK
Eligible UK taxpayers looking to give money to the extreme poor can do so through GiveDirectly UK (“GDUK”). GDUK is a UK trust with registered charity number 1167938 and the official UK partner of GiveDirectly. GDUK reclaims Gift Aid which boosts donations by 25p for each £1 donated. (Higher and additional rate tax payers can also reclaim additional tax relief via their Self Assessment returns.)
All money donated via GDUK (less transaction fees) is granted to GiveDirectly for the cash transfer programs in East Africa.
