L. Pierce Carson has been chronicling the good, the bad and the bubbly in the Napa Valley for more than four decades. He’s covered county government, courts, entertainment and, for the past 35 years, the burgeoning wine industry.

Paul Franson writes the Business End wine column every other week. He’s been writing about wine and the wine industry for the two decades he has lived in Napa Valley. He also writes for wine trade magazines Wines & Vines and Wine Business Monthly and other publications.

The World in a Glass is a lighter look at wines from Napa Valley and beyond, created by the late Jack Heeger, a wine writer and copy editor at the Register. It’s now written by Sasha Paulsen, who has been wine editor at the Register since 1999.
