My husband's SCLC is back. It has shown up back in his left adrenal where it was before and now is showing a small amount in his right adrenal gland too. The doctor said that since he was barely cancer free for 3 months that he should go on Taxol. After only a few months on Tarceva, onc is saying X-ray is showing progression and recommending a ct scan and possible new treatment. Wondering what kind of wait times have patients experienced before switching treatments. I would gather there's a wait time for ct scans, diagnostics, further genetic tests for mutation specific cancer drugs, etc. Just a bit worried as the cancer progresses ... Read More

I posted a few days ago about Lepto and possible treatments and got some good suggestions regarding a clinical trial. My outstanding onc does not have as much experience with lepto but was kind enough to contact a Dr. at MSK who specializes in lepto. How did you quit smoking? After finding out I have several lung nodules (no dx yet...still waiting), the urgency for me to quit smoking has gone to the top of my priority list!
