The doctor said that since he was barely cancer free for 3 months that he should go on Taxol. He has been approved to go on any drug treatment according to her, since he is now in an active cancer phase, and no longer NED or eligible ... Read More

After only a few months on Tarceva, onc is saying X-ray is showing progression and recommending a ct scan and possible new treatment. Wondering what kind of wait times have patients experienced before switching treatments. I would gather there's a wait time for ct scans, diagnostics, further genetic tests for mutation specific cancer drugs, etc. Just a bit worried as the cancer progresses ... Read More

I posted a few days ago about Lepto and possible treatments and got some good suggestions regarding a clinical trial. My outstanding onc does not have as much experience with lepto but was kind enough to contact a Dr. at MSK who specializes in lepto. This doctor basically agreed with continuing the pulsed dose tarceva for now. I am now calling on this wide group of cancer battlers ... Read More

How did you quit smoking? After finding out I have several lung nodules (no dx yet...still waiting), the urgency for me to quit smoking has gone to the top of my priority list! My doctor prescribed Chantix for me but Tricare won't cover it even after the doctor calling in an authorization. To pay out of pocket is $400 and that's just for first months supply - I can't afford that. I ... Read More

Welcome Divas and Dudes, Newbies, Caregivers, Loved Ones, Friends and Lurkers. This is a post for all things Tarceva. This coming April 1st would be my second anniversary of taking Tarceva, which I began on April 1, 2015.
