We had a fantastic night, party of 6 to celebrate mums 60th, our ages ranged from 24 to 68 and all had a great time. Food was fine, into go there if I was just looking for a nice meal bit the Scottish themed menu added to the theme of the evening and it was great to have one venue for the whole night! We had a bottle of wine that we didn't added to the bill but this was soon sorted out after telling staff. I was glad more people came in to dance after the meal as this added to the atmosphere but I feel too many people we aloud in as dance floor was too cramped and impossible to dance with out having our feet trampled on! Overall thou a fantastic evening and I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Edinburgh. I will be back next time I'm in the city.

Great venue, band was superb!! Food was okay.
I took a party of 12 to dinner and ceilidh.....service was on point lovely friendly staff. However it would've been a far better experience if the extra people weren't let in after the meal (ceilidh only tickets) this made the dance floor very very busy and at times impossible to move, never mind dance. Was such a shame as this place really does have it all.

Didn't even get a chance to eat in the place after I phoned 19 times over three days leaving two messages which were never answered so either they don't care about people trying to book a table or there making so much money they don't actually need customers

I have photographed several wedding at The Ghillie Dhu and it's easily one of my favourite venues in the city. The interior is stunning and you have Edinburgh for a playground when it comes to photos.
I was back there on Thursday and Kirsty and the team were very accommodating as always. I would recommend this venue to anyone... I recommend it to you.

We came for a family birthday and were delighted with the quality of the food and the great service. Would definitely recommend and have already booked again for our work Christmas party!

Have been several times previously and it was outstanding. This time was the opposite, tepid food, tepid service and hot shrivelled celery with cheese, not to mention the haggis free duck and haggis! Such a shame �

I love Ghillie Dhu. Food is always really good and the cocktails are very reasonably priced. I always recommend it to people looking for somewhere to go in Edinburgh.

Absolute joke!! I made a booking for dinner for 20 people 2 months ago to avoid disappointment and phoned to confirm my booking today only to be told they have no record of it and the venue is now full. Incompetence at a different level.

Great atmosphere, great food, great music :) have been for a Christmas meal before and have been on a standard Saturday night, never disappointed.

I had the braised beef cheeks for lunch and it was absolutely amazing. The best food I've had during my 3 months in Scotland, by far.
