Connect with people on Google+

You can follow someone on Google+ to see what they share in your Home stream.

Follow someone

You can see someone's posts in your home stream by following them.

1. On your computer, open Google+. 
2. Open the profile of the person you want to follow. You can search for their name, or click their photo next to a comment or post they've made.
3. Click FOLLOW.

Unfollow someone

1. On your computer, open Google+. 
2. Open the profile of the person you want to unfollow. You can search for their name, or click their photo next to one of their comments or posts.
3. Click FOLLOWING (or the name of the circle they’re in).
4. Unselect the "Following" circle.
5. Click DONE or OK.

Comment on a post

You can comment on your own posts or posts that other people share. You can enter text, insert images, or place a link into your comments. Links show up with previews.

Add a comment to a post

1. Open Google+ or the Google+ app . 
2. Click the post you want to comment on.
3. Click Add a comment or Comment .
4. Add your comment:
   • To insert an image, click Insert image or Take photo .
   • To insert a link, click Insert link . You can also start typing a link and a preview should appear below it.
   • If you’re inserting a link, click the photo you want to display with the link. You can also post a link without a photo.
5. Click Post.

Edit or delete your comment

1. Open Google+.
2. Find the comment you want to edit or delete.
3. Click More .
4. Click Edit comment or Delete comment.

Mention people in your posts

Mention people to get their attention on a larger post or if you want to address someone specifically. They'll be able to see the post which they were mentioned in, even if the post wasn't originally shared with them.

Note: You won't be able to mention someone in a comment if the original poster locks the post.

+1 a post

You can use the +1 button to show that you like what someone else posted.

To +1 a post:

1. On your computer, open Google+. 
2. Find the post you want to +1.
3. Click +1 .
4. Optional: To undo a +1, click +1 .

Notes:

• If you +1 a public post, your followers may see the post and that you +1'd it.
• See posts and comments you've +1ed on Google+ and outside Google+ by viewing your Activity Log.
