RYA Cymru Wales runs a full programme of events across Wales, and also support a number of other events that are run by clubs. Below is a quick guide to the events that happen each year in Wales.
Each of the 3 regions (N, S & W) run a CYRC series. These are great first time events for aspiring racers which are coached.
Run towards the end of the season in September; This is the most competitive regatta of the year and a must for sailors who are looking to gain places in Regional or National Squad!
A Welsh squads selector event held annually in April including a coached Regatta Fleet for younger & less experienced sailors.
Open Club Events across the Country that are open to juniors, youths and adults. Run and administered by the host club

A great fun and social event for all sailors and windsurfers, on a lovely body of water in the picturesque Brecon Beacons. The event is ideal as a first experience of a regatta. All welcome.
The Honda RYA Youth RIB Championship proved to be a great success and the RYA together with Honda and Highfield are delighted to offer all interested youngsters the opportunity to participate once again!
The Regional Xmas Regattas are legendary! Lots of sailing combined with tinsel and a good sense of humour! Plus the discos/ Quiz and general Xmas excitement is quite good too! Loads of Prizes, fun and xmas cheer!
The annual Welsh Open Laser Championships open to all Laser classes, youths and adults.
Llandegfedd Sailing Club are hosting the 2017 Welsh Topper Championships 27th and 28th May 2017
Hosted annually by Cardiff Bay Yacht Club - this event regularly attracts the top optimist sailors in Britain!
