No-Scalpel Vasectomy Curriculum, 2nd Edition
A comprehensive course designed to train vasectomists and vasectomy assistants who provide no-scalpel vasectomy (NSV). Revised and updated to reflect the latest research findings on NSV, as well as global expert opinion and field experience from many countries, the curriculum emphasizes the information needed to provide safe and effective NSV services and provides for extensive practice time. It is designed to be used by trainers who are skilled, experienced NSV providers and who have previously conducted skills training. (Published with support from The ACQUIRE Project.)

No-Scalpel Vasectomy: An Illustrated Guide for Surgeons, Third Edition
An updated version of EngenderHealth's easy-to-use reference book for surgeons who are learning the no-scalpel approach for vasectomy. This latest edition incorporates updated content and revised and improved illustrations, including an expanded description of ligation and excision with fascial interposition, the technique that is now regarded as offering the highest effectiveness. The guide is available in print and on CD-ROM; a trainer's resource CD-ROM, containing the full text of the guide, a presentation script, and transparency masters, is also available.

Factors Affecting Acceptance of Vasectomy in Uttar Pradesh: Insights from Community-Based, Participatory Qualitative Research
The RESPOND Project provided technical assistance to the Government of Uttar Pradesh to expand awareness of, acceptance of, and access to no-scalpel vasectomy (NSV) services. This project brief describes a qualitative anthropological approach used to determine barriers to NSV use, people's perceptions about NSV and family planning, and how these affect decision making on whether to use this permanent method. This work offers crucial insights for understanding the reasons for the low prevalence of vasectomy in Uttar Pradesh and how to expand awareness about, acceptance of, and access to NSV services in the future.

Instruments and Supplies Needed to Provide Clinical Methods of Family Planning
