Ensuring the Right to Quality Hormonal Implant Removal Services

With more women choosing implants as their preferred contraceptive method, the matching need to put in place systems and services to fulfill the right to timely, affordable implant removal is evident. EngenderHealth, including its Expand Family Planning (ExpandFP) project, works with the Global Implant Removals Task Force to assess gaps and review best practices for implant removals. In support of these efforts, ExpandFP has released a new brief, Contraceptive Hormonal Implant Removal Services: Experiences from the ExpandFP Project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania, and Uganda. New Award: Essential Gender-Based Violence Prevention and Services in Malawi and Tanzania

We are thrilled to announce a new award in Malawi that aims to prevent gender-based violence (GBV) and reach more survivors with comprehensive services. Funded by the U.S. Department of State Secretary’s Office of Global Women’s Issues, the project will involve working with partners in seven districts in Malawi and nationally through policy activities.
