Reception[edit]
Time felt the ending of the film was out of place with the rest of the film and was only inserted there to provide a moralistic "law and order" ending.[1]
The film is recognized by American Film Institute in these lists:
- 2005: AFI's 100 Years...100 Movie Quotes:
- Bert Harris: "That dirty, double-crossin' rat!" – Nominated[2]
