Proposed deletion of Przemysław Sadowski[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Przemysław Sadowski has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

All listed roles are as minor characters. This person should remain in IMDB only.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. WikiProject assessment tags for talk pages[edit]

Replacement filing cabinet.svg Thank you for your recent articles, including Beskid Sądecki, which I read with interest. When you create a new article, can you add the WikiProject assessment templates to the talk of that article? See the talk page of the article I mentioned for an example of what I mean. Usually it is very simple, you just add something like {{WikiProject Keyword}} to the article's talk, with keyword replaced by the associated WikiProject (ex. if it's a biography article, you would use WikiProject Biography; if it's a United States article, you would use WikiProject United States, and so on). You do not have to rate the article if you do not want to, others will do it eventually. Those templates are very useful, as they bring the articles to a WikiProject attention, and allow them to start tracking the articles through Wikipedia:Article alerts and other tools. For example, WikiProject Poland relies on such templates to generate listings such as Article Alerts, Popular Pages, Quality and Importance Matrix and the Cleanup Listing. Thanks to them, WikiProject members are more easily able to defend your work from deletion, or simply help try to improve it further. Feel free to ask me any questions if you'd like more information about using those talk page templates. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 04:24, 24 November 2014 (UTC)

On bare URLs[edit]

I've noticed that your article Beskid Sądecki uses bare URLs which are vulnerable to link rot. I've fixed it a bit at [1] using the Wikipedia:Reflinks tool. This tool together with [2], can give you a quick and easy way to format almost all bare references in the article. I hope you'll try it out and format your references in the future! PS. All the ISBN links are broken; please re-add them in a proper way using the reftag tool or Template:Cite book. Thanks! --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 04:24, 24 November 2014 (UTC)

Great work![edit]

Hi Arbustum. I just came across you while looking through your interesting articles on Brzeg. Then I discovered that you've created about 40 articles over the past couple of weeks. Amazing! Good to see that Luxembourg (where I also live) has acquired such a creative editor. Keep up the good work. And if you run into any problems, just let me know.--Ipigott (talk) 16:05, 30 November 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. A little tip: when you translate an article from the Polish wiki, you can use a template on the article's talk page. If you look at Talk:Brzeg Town Hall in edit mode you'll see how to do it. You should not include articles from Wikipedia itself in your normal references for the article itself. I realize there are lots of things to learn about Wikipedia but you seem to be coping pretty well.--Ipigott (talk) 16:27, 30 November 2014 (UTC)

Just a tip...[edit]

... but when you're using {{cite web}} to craft a citation, |website= is for the name of a website (it if has a name), and |url= is for the URL (address) of the specific webpage. Imzadi 1979  23:15, 1 December 2014 (UTC)

Thank you. I was unsure on whether to use the URL or the Website, is what I am doing with the Voivodeship roads correct? Thank you. Arbustum (talk) 07:30, 2 December 2014 (UTC)
You were putting the address of a webpage into |website=, and I switched it over so it was in |url=. Otherwise, it wasn't showing the access dates, it wasn't linking the title of the webpage to the address of the page, and it was displaying the raw URL in italics as if it was the name of the website. Imzadi 1979  07:43, 2 December 2014 (UTC)

A favor[edit]

Please tag your new Polish articles with {{WikiProject Poland|class=stub|importance=low}} on talk. It will save me few minutes during the two or three hours I spend each week on this cleanup. Thanks, --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:43, 2 December 2014 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Prime Corporate Centre[edit]

Hello, Arbustum. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Prime Corporate Centre, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Ipigott (talk) 08:51, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

Intertranswiki[edit]

Hi Arbustum. Given your interest in translation, you might be interested in becoming a member of Wikipedia:WikiProject Intertranswiki. We are currently trying to revive the project by addressing lists compiled for Stub Focus of the Week. If you find the project interesting, just add your name to the Members section.--Ipigott (talk) 08:51, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

Welcome aboard! Feel free to add 20 odd missing notable Polish castles under Round 5 of Wikipedia:WikiProject Intertranswiki. If you know anybody else who might be interested please inform them!♦ Dr. Blofeld 12:17, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

Can you add the Polish interlinks for the entries you added so we can view them in Polish?♦ Dr. Blofeld 15:13, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

Yes, but is there a way to make the links look tidy (on the list)? Thank you. Arbustum (talk) 15:24, 3 May 2015 (UTC)

Polish castles[edit]

Hi, you may as well add the castles you're working on to our list too. If you only want to work on them perhaps add them to the list once you create them?♦ Dr. Blofeld 19:33, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

Yes, I will add the castles I have completed onto the list too; once I have created all the castles' articles from my original list (on my user contributions list) - I will also start creating the castle articles from the Round 5 list. Arbustum (talk) 19:39, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

Keep up the great work!♦ Dr. Blofeld 19:42, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

I'll make sure to add more castles in the future - I am mainly active on Wikipedia during the weekends; but I will surely do a few during the week. Thank you.

I think that Rzeszów Castle's article can be greatly expanded; which is why I have included it in the Round 5 list.

Arbustum (talk) 19:46, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

I've made the decision to keep the central project focus strictly at 10 articles per topic to allow a broader range of topics and ease the workload, but we can spill the extra articles onto the relative work pages, should editors want to continue on that topic focus. In other months we could be more specific like "Castles of Silesian Voivodeship ". What would be great actually is if you could both draw up a missing directory of Polish castles organized by municipality/county/Voivodeship at Wikipedia:WikiProject Intertranswiki/Polish/Buildings and work on that long term. I'll always be happy to help! What I also encourage is to create navigation templates organizing the castles by Voivodeship and plenty of red links. To draw up nav templates for each area of Poland. Sound good?♦ Dr. Blofeld 08:18, 6 May 2015 (UTC)

I've created Template:Castles in Podkarpackie Voivodeship. Feel free to populate it further and create ones for other regions!♦ Dr. Blofeld 08:47, 6 May 2015 (UTC)

Can you or/and Piotrus and check/improve Bytom Castle, Dobczyce Castle and Dybów Castle?♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:37, 9 May 2015 (UTC)

Yes, I will add InfoBoxes of the castle; starting with Bytom. Currently, I am also doing Polish lighthouses; since 90% of them haven't been covered on the English language Wikipedia. Arbustum (talk) 14:15, 9 May 2015 (UTC)

An award for you![edit]

Re: Proposed deletion of Roswell Lee Evans[edit]

FWIW, after a great deal of thought, I've rejected the WP:PROD of Roswell Lee Evans. Even given my editorial bias, as a Catholic, against the death penalty, I still believe he's a very notable figure in the SCOTUS-level case of Glossip v. Gross. and reliable sources tend to agree. Tiny countries[edit]

By the way, after reading your user page, I was reminded of a series of essays that ran on Slate magazine, entitled "Big Man, Little Countries", which I thought you might enjoy. Although as entry #1 explains:

Apologies, Vatican fans: The pope didn't make the cut. And don't even ask about Luxembourg. It's around the size of Rhode Island [the smallest American state], making it much too large for this exercise.

Although, for obvious reasons, those tiny fiefdoms don't, if I recall, have their own languages! (The one modern skill I completely lack is to learn new languages; it's a good day when I can just get my tongue around English, and I'm a native speaker!!) -- Kendrick7talk 01:51, 6 May 2015 (UTC)

List of lighthouses in Latvia[edit]

Hi Arbustum, well done on creating the new Latvian lighthouse articles. To help link these together, and to de-orphan them, I have created a List article. When I have more time, I should be able to create a table for the article as I have done elsewhere. Happy editing...Jokulhlaup (talk) 17:50, 12 May 2015 (UTC)

This wiki-kitten is here to thank you for your contributions to Poland-related topics (I'd usually award you the Polish Barnstar, but you got two recently, so here's a kitty :) ).

Disambiguation link notification for September 24[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Šventoji Lighthouse, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Šventoji (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Featuring your work on Wikipedia's front page: DYKs[edit]

Thank you for your recent articles, including Ostróda Castle (and other Polish castles you recently started), which I read with interest. When you create an extensive and well referenced article, you may want to have it featured on Wikipedia's main page in the Did You Know section. Articles included there will be read by thousands of our viewers. To do so, add your article to the list at T:TDYK. Let me know if you need help, Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 04:08, 9 October 2015 (UTC)

PS. You may also want to link your articles from relevant locations, ex. [3]. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 04:35, 9 October 2015 (UTC)

Hello, Arbustum. This is Zee money. You have proposed an article that I write to be deleted on the basis that is about a living person. However, the Chinese article zh:杜者蘅, clearly states that the person died in 1975. Zee money (talk) 13:50, 16 October 2015 (UTC)

Proposed deletion of Groszek[edit]

Ambox warning yellow.svg

The article Groszek has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline and the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (companies) requirement. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back. Thank you,

Stub vs start[edit]

I've upgraded Aleksander Augustynowicz assessment to start (and added WPBIO talk page template). I tend to have a rule of thumb that an article with 250+ prose words is start (and this was almost 400). It also makes it eligible for T:TDYK. Nice work! --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 06:51, 20 October 2015 (UTC)

Thank you, I am having problems with adding the third stage of the T:TDYK. Arbustum (talk) 15:22, 20 October 2015 (UTC)
Can you be more precise? And if you reply here, please WP:ECHO me - I don't monitor your talk page for possible replies (it's like you don't monitor mine or any other editor's, I am sure). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 07:26, 30 October 2015 (UTC)

ArbCom elections are now open![edit]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
