Welcome to the tcsh site!

Tcsh is an enhanced, but completely compatible version of the Berkeley UNIX C shell (csh). It is a command language interpreter usable both as an interactive login shell and a shell script command processor. It includes a command-line editor, programmable word completion, spelling correction, a history mechanism, job control and a C-like syntax.

This site is intended for users of tcsh. Anything that has to do with tcsh is appropriate content for this site. And you can add your own tcsh topics to it! Check out RecentChanges to find popular pages and feel free to contribute.

Click on [Preferences] to create an account, otherwise your edits will be anonymous. If you already have an account, you can use the [Login] page to get a valid cookie (you will need to know your numeric user id). This is useful for getting the same settings and account on multiple browsers or machines.

Help for formatting the pages can be found at UseMod:TextFormattingRules (and Wiki:TextFormattingRules, which is not accurate for the Wiki we run, but it has many good tips). A good place for testing stuff out is the SandBox, and then please move on to updating the real content.

Regular visitors will probably want to bookmark the Home page, which is the main index for this site.

Unfortunately I've had to block most APNIC IP blocks due to link spamming all of our pages. If you would like to contribute but cannot due to blocking, please create a login and send me email. I can enable your account or possibly your IP block for editing.
