Sr. Server Engineer

Help build and run a distributed, world wide, real time system that processes billions of events per day with a remarkable, creative, and hilarious team.

What you'll be doing

  • Participating in building and running a distributed, world wide, real time system that processes billions of events per day.
  • Working with a modern tech stack built on GCE with Elixir/Erlang, Python, React/Flux, Cassandra, TokuMX, Redis, and a hint of C++ where appropriate.
  • Measuring things in PETABYTES. We have a lot of petabytes.
  • Working with our founding engineers to design and implement distributed backend components.

What you should have

  • Exposure to WebRTC based client-server infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of how to use the above tech at a large scale in a highly available environment.
  • Self motivation and the ability to take a high level goal and deliver shippable code.

Qualifications

  • Hungry to be part of a hard working, fast paced company.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with devops tools like Salt Stack or Ansible and clouds like Google Cloud Compute
  • Ability to build client side UI, in which case you’ll deliver full slice vertical features. In this case, you’ll work closely with design and app engineering teams.
