The instructor is a competent, experienced sailor capable of sailing a training boat in strong winds and handling small powerboats. The instructor has been assessed as competent to teach adults and children, beginners and improvers.

If you want to deliver the keel boat courses, this is the course for you. During the course, candidates must demonstrate their pre-entry test skills and teaching techniques required. Candidates will be assessed on a continuous basis afloat and on successful completion the course organiser will sign their logbook.

A day of on water skills development and preperation. This day is hugly benifical in preparing yourself for the SI course and you will leave with a clear understanding of the role of the SI.

The Senior Instructor (SI) is an experienced instructor who has been assessed as competent to organise and manage courses within the RYA's Sailing Scheme.
