Brighton Marina - Duty Manager

As part of the marina’s management team you will be responsible for all aspects of running one of the largest marinas in the UK. Applicants must have extensive experience in leadership and problem solving in order to deliver the highest levels of customer service to our customers. Duties will include the liaison with berth holders, managing staff, project management, generating sales and increasing retention, liaising with visitors, on site tenants, stakeholders and contractors as well as driving our own busy boat yard. 

Applicants for the role must have previous supervisory experience and good communication skills, be flexible and have the ability to fit in with a small team dedicated to offering excellent customer service. Experience of working within a marina or the marine environment and with knowledge of boatyard handling equipment would be advantageous. 

The position will be working as part of a rota system with summer and winter hours depending on the demand of the marina, the role will also include working some weekends and bank/public holidays.

Swanwick Marina - Dockmaster

 The position of “Dockmaster” has become available at Premier’s Swanwick Marina. Dockmasters must be able to demonstrate:

  • Ability to understand and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to carry out both marina and boatyard operations.
  • Ability to learn and use Havenstar marina management software.
  • The management of marina berths and the handling of money and recording data.
  • A “Can do” attitude and flexible approach to team work.

This role includes outdoor working in all weathers on a shift rota which will include some weekends, bank/public holidays and night shifts. The normal shift pattern will be 4 x 12 hour days/nights, followed by 4 days off which is subject to change due to the seasonal requirements of the business.

Previous experience would be a major advantage but training, where required, will be given. A full driving licence is essential.

Sovereign Harbour - Marina Manager 

One of the UK’s leading marina operators is looking to recruit an experienced manager for its Sovereign Harbour marina.   Premier Marinas, which owns and operates nine marinas on the South Coast, is committed to providing its berth holders with market leading marina facilities, high standards of customer service and great value for money . Sovereign Harbour situated in Eastbourne is the third largest marina with the group.    

The marina manager is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the marina including: financial performance; marina occupancy and berth utilisation; all aspects of customer service delivery; maintaining of all plant and facilities; relationships with key stakeholders and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.  They will also be appointed as Harbour Master.

Candidates must have relevant experience, excellent coaching and mentoring skills, the ability to communicate effectively, excellent customer service skills and the ability to delegate appropriately, A Certified Marina Manager qualification would be an advantage. Previous management experience is essential. Premier Marinas offer a competitive salary and benefits package.
