Mental Health Communities of Hope and Healing

Welcome. We are glad you found us.

You face a challenging task. You seek the right facility for a person with mental health issues, a place that will help them improve their life.  Or, you are looking for the best place for yourself, a place where you can grow and heal. You may have already decided on residential treatment. Or perhaps you are considering it, but not sure.

ARTA (American Residential Treatment Association) can help you make the best match. We are composed of more than 30 member facilities offering residential care to adults with serious mental challenges, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, personality disorders, and disorders combined with substance abuse. We deliberately keep our membership low in order to have personal knowledge of one another’s facilities, which lets us offer you informed recommendations. We are dedicated to providing you with information and guidance that will help you through this process.

On this site, you will find general information on residential treatment.   On the page below you will find our Directory of Residential Facilities, with links to individual web sites offering detailed program information.  There is a great range of approaches among our facilities.  This is good – you have options. We also give you professional guidance in choosing among the many options (click on the link Making the Best Match).

What are the benefits of residential care? Click here to learn more . . .
