CONSULTATION ON DRAFT RYANI STRATEGIC PLAN 2017-2021

RYANI is currently in the process of developing its Strategic Plan for 2017-21.  To assist us in this process we are asking that anyone with an interest in sailing or boating take part in our short consultation survey.  This survey should take no more than 10 minutes and your feedback will help to ensure that RYANI continues to grow sailing and boating in Northern Ireland.  The closing date for the survey is Monday 4th July.  

HUNDREDS PUSH THE BOAT OUT ACROSS NORTHERN IRELAND!

RYANI’s Push the Boat Out project saw record numbers of people taking part across Northern Ireland

Hundreds of people of all ages and abilities took to water over the last three weeks to experience sailing and windsurfing with RYANI’s Push the Boat Out project.

During Push the Boat Out, 13 clubs and 770 participants took advantage of the fantastic weather and visited their local sailing clubs.

RYANI ARE SEEKING TO APPOINT A PERFORMANCE DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Do you have a desire to develop young racing sailors?  If so, RYANI is currently seeking to appoint a Performance Development Officer.  

Purpose

The overriding purpose of an RYA Performance Development Officer is to develop the best young racing sailors in the world, through the following Critical Success Factors:

Develop fast sailors in all conditions

Develop and retain mentally and physically robust athletes who are resillient in the most testing conditions

Develop excellent, non-dependant decision makers

Develop sailors that excel under the most extreme pressure

Nuturing passion, professionalism and a performance mind-set

Team Seaton and McGovern get ready for road to Rio

RYANI sailors Ryan Seaton and Matt McGovern are getting ready for the road to Rio after the Olympic Council of Ireland officially announced their selection to represent Team Ireland in the 49er class.

The Ballyholme Yacht Club duo, who also represented Ireland at the London 2012 Olympics, are on the crest of a wave after the announcement, stating: “This will be our second Olympics sailing together and we are looking forward to doing our country proud!”
