1kg loss of body water = up to 20% reduction in cognitive function Even when we’re busy don’t forget to look after yourself and drink lots during the day.. Headache after work? Might also be a sign of dehydration.

I work in such a diverse specialty that when I see a like this I automatically assume it has no relevance to my work. Convince me that a) this topic is highly relevant to anaesthesia/critical care and b) despite this no women have relevant knowledge and experience to share

Today, I had time to go for one wee during my entire 12.5hr shift. During said wee, my bleep went off 3 times. I then got shouted at for not answering those bleeps fast enough. I think this sums up so far.

Started work with a new CT1 in psychiatry today. He’s had to leave his wife and 3 children in the north of England and was told transferring or swapping his placement was not an option. How are we still treating junior doctors like this?

We’re at the stage of knowing for sure that ‘children do not transmit coronavirus’ is a false statement. So let’s not waste time in denial & work towards minimising risk of transmission in schools including rigerous early case finding, social distancing measures & face coverings.

I could so, so relate to this lady. My Experience of racism is often different in that it was persistence, subtle and designed to derailed me from my career as a nurse. I first experienced racism in 1997 in the United Kingdom and ongoing.

Unfortunately, many of us have similar stories to tell, even those of us that appear to have made it, have had our own trials and tribulations. Being a band 9, a VSM or even a CEO doesn’t insulate you from experiencing subtle discrimination or outright and blatant racism.

I understand the sentiment behind speaking up. Rarely do I hear about the cost of speaking up. The repeated psychological trauma of telling your story time & time again for people to say that’s terrible then NOTHING changes

Can you give us more details? Obviously keeping it as anonymous as possible (I don't want to know the trust or individual). I like to know how it arose

An interesting point is that they're all regulated by different entities e.g. NHS Trust regulated by CQC whereas NHS employees (paramedics) regulated by HCPC

Do the ambulance service trusts have to conform to the standards set by the regulatory body to allow them to employ members of that regulatory body, construction companies do so why not something as important as health care . Only an observation
