Saying goodbye to OAuth 1.0 (2LO)

We are moving away from the OAuth 1.0 protocol in order to focus support on the current OAuth standard, OAuth 2.0, which increases security and reduces complexity for developers. OAuth 1.0 (3LO) was shut down on April 20, 2015. During this final phase, we will be shutting down OAuth 1.0 (2LO) on October 20, 2016. The easiest way to migrate to the new standard is to use OAuth 2.0 service accounts with domain-wide delegation.

Find out more and get tips for migrating at: http://goo.gl/hDKAud #GoogleAPIs #OAuth

Google I/O #TB : What happened in 2015 (Post 9/10)

When: May 28–29, 2015
Where: Moscone Center, San Francisco
Highlights: Android M, Android Pay, Android Wear, Inbox, Maps Offline, Now, Photos, Play Store,
Project Brillo, Project Weave

Back in 2015, we unveiled the +Android M(arshmallow) dev preview showcasing App permissions, app deep linking and battery improvements. Google Now got even smarter with Google Now on Tap: relevant Now cards that can be pulled up while using other apps helping you discover nearby restaurants when texting about dinner plans, or discover the trailer for the movie you’re reading about. The new +Google Photos app was in the spotlight with free unlimited storage for photos and videos, and we released a new version of +Google Cardboard that works with any phone.

Our guests were greeted with donuts and coffee while waiting in line for the anticipated keynote and later on, they were invited to party after hours once again at Yerba Buena - this time around, the space was filled with San Francisco food trucks and local bands.

Watch the keynote (https://youtu.be/7V-fIGMDsmE) and the recap video (https://youtu.be/OT8wVt1Bt_Y) for more!

Chrome Experiment (https://goo.gl/YTZuHr): The sound of material design using WebGL, Web Audio, Polymer, pixi.js, Canvas, p2 and JavaScript. Learn more about how this experiment was built here: https://goo.gl/SqEntO.
