Head of Facilities & Hotel Services

This is a senior role within the Leadership Team under the direction of the Director of Finance & Business Services. The position will be accountable for delivering:

  • Excellent hotel services in relation to our 280 bed spaces to ensure the customers experience is exceptional.
  • Effective and efficient facilities and maintenance that is compliant with UK law and Health & Safety guidelines.
  • Commercial revenue streams through the bar, coffee shop and pool, with a focus on driving profit.
  • Responsible for project management of capital development to deliver improvements to our site and facilities.

Key selection criteria: The Head of Facilities & Hotel Services will have proven experience in the commercial hospitality sector, business development, facilities and operational management within a relevant industry sector; proven budget planning and long-term forecasting experience; commercial awareness and negotiation skills; with strong IT skills and proven experience of IT systems.

Sailing Fleet Maintenance Operatives x2

UKSA’s boats are at the heart of its training activities, and we’re looking for a versatile person to work as part of our fleet maintenance team maintaining our keelboats, dinghies, powerboats and yachts. We’re looking for a keen and dependable person with substantial practical experience of regular fleet maintenance requirements and the ability to fault-find and undertake routine checks whilst maintaining accurate refit and repair records.

Key selection criteria:  The Fleet Maintenance Operatives will need sailing experience with a good technical understanding of boat maintenance; water system and diesel engine operation, 12v electrics, component systems and parts and a good understanding of commercial yacht safety and coding regulations including MGN 280(M) regulations.

Receptionist – part time

UKSA are looking for a Receptionist with a flexible approach, great customer service skills and a passion for our guests. The role will be required to check residential guests in and out; take bookings for accommodation plus marina berthing and swimming pool; manage the switchboard, handling calls in a courteous and professional manner; taking and processing payments; and general reception administration duties. This is an exciting role which requires a great personality and a positive approach to every day! The role holder will work both collaboratively and cross-functionally as part of a close knit team under the direction of the Operations Administration Manager.

Key selection criteria:  The Receptionist is an organised and dexterous self-starter, excellent written and spoken English, numeracy and superb IT skills to include MS Word and Excel.  A relevant business/administration diploma or equivalent qualification is desirable however, this is not essential as your experience, attitude, skill and ability to effectively communicate is of the greatest importance.

Operations Administration Assistants x2 Full-time and Part-time Fixed-term to March 2017

UKSA are looking for super keen and confident administration assistants to provide exceptional administrative support within the heart of our busy administration department. The role will provide effective communication between operations administration and other departments; support the production of pre-course material for all UKSA courses and student information; assist with the provision of first-class reception cover; and as required, assist the Operations Administration Manager with any other tasks.

Key selection criteria:  The Operations Administrator is an organised and energetic self-starter, with the ability to build rapports as well as achieving a high standard of departmental performance, delivering the best outcomes for beneficiaries. May suit school/college leaver with excellent written and spoken English, numeracy and superb IT skills to include MS Word and Excel.  A relevant business/administration diploma or equivalent qualification is desirable however, this is not essential as your attitude, skill and ability to effectively communicate is of the greatest importance.

Children’s Evening Entertainment Instructor

UKSA have an wonderful opportunity to be part of a team of instructors delivering fun, safe and stimulating activity programmes for children staying on site with schools and groups. The role will ensure activities are fun, engaging, and age appropriate; helping to create a child friendly environment. This is an important role within the youth training team working as an integral part of the Training department’s operational delivery team.

Key selection criteria: Bags of enthusiasm, with a desire to work with children; ability to motivate and educate students; excellent communication skills and a great team player are essential. Leisure industry experience desirable, but not a requirement.
