Buying an eBook 

The options when you're looking to buy and RYA eBook

There are two ways you can buy RYA eBooks, either within the app (in-app) or through our webshop (www.rya.org.uk/shop). Either way will enable you to access your downloaded eBooks without being connected to the internet.

1. In-App

The full versions are available to buy from within the iOS (Apple) and Android 'RYA Books' apps. If you buy through Apple, Google or Amazon the record is kept with them and you can access them on any number of devices but only within the particular Apple, Google or Amazon platform.

Your purchase will be directly linked to your app store ID.

2. Through www.rya.org.uk/shop

You can also buy from our webshop where you will receive login details which you can use across any of the different platforms listed on the ‘RYA Books’ app page but limited to 3 devices.

Your purchase will be directly linked to your account with the RYA.

• Take advantage of any applicable RYA discount in our webshop

• Sync notes and bookmarks across platforms

We’ve designed this to be flexible so the choice is yours!

Pricing

Wherever possible we are pricing the eBooks at the same level as the printed versions but be aware that Apple has price tiers which don’t always make this possible so we’ll get it as close as we can.

We regret that we’re unable to offer members a discount for editions bought through iOS and Android, so if you want to take advantage of your discount then buy from our webshop.

Viewing, Printing & Exporting

In order to take full advantage of interactivity and functionality, RYA eBooks are designed to be read solely within the RYA Books app. There is no provision to print or export to other applications.
