At UKSA, we don’t just give you excellent training towards professional qualifications. We also recognise that your personal development and on-going career is as valuable as the certificate you get when you complete the course.

Help to find a job

Train with UKSA and you’ll get mentoring, guidance, industry knowledge and wide-ranging support. As part of your course you’ll attend sessions on how to write an appropriate CV, the types of jobs available and how to find them. We also run a regular programme of talks by industry professionals and crew agents.

You’ll also get access to our online recruitment service, exclusively for our career-training students. Here you’ll be able to apply for some of the hundreds of jobs that we deal with every year, and employers can view your profile and contact you directly.

One way to get started….

….is our new five-day career taster course; Opportunities Afloat. If you don’t know how to get started or what course to go for, it’s perfect. It’s for those between the ages of 16 and 25 and gives an initial insight into the maritime industry and the training routes available. It offers valuable on-the-water experience alongside classroom based seminars and sessions including yachting, watersports and hospitality. This is also an affordable taster option, priced at just £199 including food and accommodation.
