MCA deck officer training certificates are the highest qualifications in the yachting industry, and UKSA is one of the best places in the world to train for them. In fact, we’re one of the top 3 providers of MCA certificates in the yachting world.

MCA Officer of the Watch, MCA Chief Mate and MCA Master certificates require a combination of pre-entry requirements, training courses, assessments and sea service.

These certificates are only for experienced professionals, so if you are looking to start your career in the industry take a look at our yacht training courses.

Training at UKSA

We are recognised throughout the industry as being world-class providers of MCA deck officer training. We have expert teachers and fantastic facilities, including a new simulator suite, and everything is on site. We don’t think you’ll find a better value training provider. Our MCA training courses are all-inclusive, meaning that there are no hidden costs or unwelcome surprises, and all of your food and accommodation is included in the price. As an MCA student you’ll be in one of our premium en-suite rooms on the waterfront.

Our doors don’t close when classes end: we offer flexibility and extensive scheduling around each course, with access to our classrooms and resources in the evenings too.

Flexibility

We have several intakes per year on all of our MCA courses so can be very flexible. You can either do individual modules at times that suit you, or you could do the whole course in one go. We also understand the nature of the industry. We know that it can be hard to commit to dates until the last minute, so we aim to be as flexible as possible to accommodate our MCA students. We’re always happy to talk through the options to work out what would suit you best.
