Introduction to Outdoor and Physical Activities
This Level 1 programme is designed to provide foundation knowledge and skills required in outdoor industries. Your personal attributes and qualities will be developed through the active participation in outdoor pursuits such as sailing and orienteering: creating an enthusiastic and confident person with skills to develop further in life or a chosen career.

How will I learn?
The study programmes consist of a minimum of three days a week (2-2.5 days theory, 1-1.5 days practical). This will extend to a maximum of five days a week with additional mathematics and English sessions where necessary as an individualised study programme. Attendance is compulsory in all timetabled sessions.
Progression
This Level 1 programme prepares you both for employment in the outdoor industries industry and, for suitable students, for more advanced courses such as the Sports and Physical Activities (Level 2) programme.
