CLA (conjugated linoleic acid) is a naturally occurring fatty acid found in our diet, though the body cannot produce this fatty acid by itself. CLA is naturally produced by cattle and is therefore present in milk, beef and other dairy products. However, intensive modern farming techniques have depleted the natural levels of CLA in cattle, making it difficult to obtain sufficient levels through the diet alone.

CLA is available in many different forms each providing a slightly different Isomer profile. At Healthspan Elite we exclusively use Clarinol® CLA.

Made from Safflower Oil, Clarinol® CLA is produced in dedicated plants by experts focused on producing a world class product. With a very distinct Isomer mix, Clarinol® is rich in the type of CLA which prevents fat accumulation in fat cells within the body. It also increases the rate at which fat is transported to the mitochondria by increasing the activity of the enzyme carnitine palmitoyltransferase (CPT). This elevates beta-oxidation which helps the body to burn more fat.
