BIAZA is the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums. We are the professional body representing the best zoos and aquariums in Britain and Ireland.

We have over 100 zoo and aquarium members who pride themselves on their excellent animal welfare, education and conservation work. BIAZA leads and supports its members and helps promote the work of good zoos and aquariums.

New Partnership with The Wildlife Trusts

BIAZA and The Wildlife Trusts have joined forces to create our new ‘Wildlife at Home’ partnership for native species conservation.  This partnership operates on two levels:

1.  Facilitating connections between BIAZA member zoos and aquariums and their local Wildlife Trusts so they can get involved with key native species projects in their area.
2. Providing a central funding opportunity focussing on the Godmanchester Reserve in Cambridgeshire.  BIAZA members are collaborating to fund essential conservation management work, to transform these former gravel pits into a beautiful nature reserve.
