Unsure whether your ready to leap straight in at Coastal Skipper / Yachtmaster level?

Perhaps you’re a highly experienced skipper but have never taken a theory course or maybe you’re setting out on a fast-track and want to study straight through to Yachtmaster. Whatever the reason you need to appreciate that the RYA Coastal Skipper / Yachtmaster theory syllabus assumes that you’re already familiar with the basics. So, if you don’t know your deviation from your variation, might struggle to plot a basic course to steer or calculate the height of tide at a standard port then maybe you should consider taking our Combined Combined Day Skipper / Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster Theory course.

Inevitably there is a degree of overlap between the two courses as the Coastal Skipper / Yachtmaster course reviews some of the Day Skipper materials on the way through but crucially the exercises are different with Coastal Skipper / Yachtmaster demanding a much greater level of detail and we’ve found that many students benefit significantly by limbering up with the Day Skipper exercises first.
