Junior docs have made deposits on houses, turned down other jobs, organised nurseries... All on basis of formal job offers that now, - incredibly & surely illegally - have been withdrawn. Human beings. With lives. Treated with utter contempt. Appalling.

The New York Times doesnt normally deliver such a brutal verdict as this. Shocking how UKs reputation has plunged in the last couple of years.. "A New Face Won’t Change the British Government’s Racist Heart"

Seriously, take five minutes to reflect on what just happened. A Tory government, elected supposedly by the people for the people, were whipped by their leaders to vote against the public finding out about policies that were enacted in their name. Absolutely astonishing.

It’s staggering that Theresa May has ordered her MPs to vote against the release to the public of the documentation relating to the Windrush scandal. This begs the questions: What has she got to hide? What is she afraid of? Doesn’t she realise it’s a matter of trust & honesty now?

I wonder if the Jacob Rees-Mogg who is currently railing against the anti-democratic House of Lords is related to the Jacob Rees-Mogg who spent much of 2011 eloquently making the case for "no reform of the House of Lords" in the Commons and who voted against reform in 2012.

Disgraceful that a 63 yr old grandmother is allegedly being threatened with deportation. and must halt secret deportation flights and ensure no Windrush cases involved. Govt has serious questions to answer on and demand the truth now!

86% of Govt cuts have fallen on women, refuges in crisis, institutional racism continues, sexual abuse and harassment rife, LGBTQ+ rights at risk and the PM still won’t prioritise the department! So much for tackling the burning injustices in society. May is all talk, no action

Lots of plaudits today being given out to various people on the resignation of the Home Secretary. Recognition should be given to and whose tireless campaigning and advocacy for the real victims in this crisis the should not be lost
