Full members of ASTO are entitled to receive a Hammond Innes Bursary annually, assuming all paperwork has been submitted on time. Associate members may apply for a Bursary at the BoardÂ’'s discretion, on a year by year basis. Honorary members are not eligible for Hammond Innes Bursaries.

The Hammond Innes Bursary is to be used to:

  • Provide funding for young people, aged 25 or under, or people with special needs of any age, to take part in a Sail Training voyage.
  • Offset the costs of training volunteers and staff.

As the name implies this Bursary is paid for by the very generous legacy left by Ralph Hammond Innes, a great supporter of Sail Training.

Members are reminded that paperwork will be due into ASTO by 4 December 2015
