Voting
Voting will be undertaken to determine the athlete who will represent each of the Olympic events.
Only athletes officially entered to the 2007 ISAF Sailing World Championships are entitled to vote. Athletes shall only vote for a candidate to the ISAF Athletes' Commission in the event in which that athlete is entered to compete at the 2007 ISAF Sailing World Championships. In order to access the online voting an athlete will be required to enter his/her ISAF Sailor ID and password. All votes will be scrutinized to ensure that this requirement has been complied with. If an athlete casts a vote for a candidate not in his/her event the vote will not be valid and will not be counted.
Each athlete may vote only once. The vote an athlete casts will be final and athletes may not change their vote having voted. Voting will be determined by simply majority, with the candidate receiving the most votes by 2300 hours UTC on Sunday 15 July elected as the event representative on the ISAF Athletes' Commission. The votes cast will not be made public.
In the case of a draw in the number of votes, the athlete who is highest on the ISAF World Sailing Rankings as at 27 June 2007 will be elected.
Voting will open at 1200 hours UTC (1300 hours BST) on Friday 6 July and will close at 2300 hours UTC (2400 hours BST) on Sunday 15 July 2007.
