So now it's back to square one and the Council will go through a series of votes to confirm the slate of possible events, before a final ballot to decide the ten events…
There were no motions to add to the possible slate of events. Next came the vote was on whether a women's keelboat event, if selected, would be fleet racing or match racing. Match racing won by a large majority. Next the vote on a 6:4 or 5:5 gender split. The Council decided on 6:4, again by a large majority.
So the options on the ballot paper are:

Two person dinghy high performance
Keelboat
Multihull - open or men
Women - Select four events from

About the ISAF Council
The ISAF Council is the final decision making body of ISAF. It is chaired by the ISAF President Göran PETERSSON (SWE), who was elected along with the seven Vice-Presidents for a four-year term in 2004. Along with the President and Vice-Presidents, the Council also includes the other members of the Executive Committee, Presidents of Honour HM King Harald V of Norway and HM King Constantine (both non-voting). There are also 28 appointed members (representing each of the regional groups of sailing nations), and representatives of the Offshore Committee, ISAF Classes Committee and a Women's Representative.
