Dan JASPERS has joined the Secretariat of ISAF as the new Training and Development Manager.
Dan JASPERS, originally from Germany but a resident of Great Britain since the age of eight, joins ISAF from LDC Racing Sailboats, who build RS Fevas, where he was Training and Fleet Sales Manager. Now aged 32, he joins the ISAF to head up the Training and Development department of the Secretariat.

"I'm delighted to join the team at the ISAF Office and looking forward to working with all the members of the International Sailing Federation right around the world," JASPERS says. "This is a great new challenge for me but one I'm really excited about. ISAF already has some great schemes in place such as Connect to Sailing and the ISAF Learn to Sail Training Programme which I'll be focussing on initially to develop even further."

JASPERS will head up the ISAF Training and Development Department, whose key responsibilities are to work with and support the Development and Youth Committee and Training Commission of ISAF. The department also has responsibility for ISAF's Connect to Sailing initiative, disabled sailing, the ISAF Learn to Sail Programme and issues relating to the IOC's Olympic Solidarity scheme.

Jerome PELS, Secretary General of ISAF, commented, "It's with great pleasure I welcome Dan to the ISAF Office. He is an outstanding candidate for the new role, especially with his background in sail training and development programmes. Training and development is a key priority within ISAF and Dan will be a key force in driving this area forward."
