South Africa's Justin ONVLEE was beaten into second place by team-mate Aaron LARKENS in the second race of the day, but bounced back to win race three to stay in control in the Laser 4.7 class.
The UAE's Adel KHALID held second position overall at the end of the day after a seventh place finish in the second race and fifth in race three.

As Sweden continued to dominate the Optimist class by completing a hat-trick of victories on the opening day, Jacob LINDQUIST dropped from contention after being black-flagged at the start of the third race.

Lundqvist finished third in race two which was won by team-mate Carl STROMBECK ahead of another Swede, Adam JOHANSSON, with the UAE's Jassim EHAB, Malta's Karl CREMONA and Qatar's Hassan Al TAMIMI completing the top six.

Fourth place in the third race, which was won by Sweden's Emma OLJELUND, was enough to see Strombeck finish the day as overall leader in the Optimists from Cremona and Denmark's Jes Lyhne BONDE.
