Sailing Instructor And National Youth Team Coach Sought

Cayman Islands Sailing Club News

The Cayman Islands Sailing Club, the ISAF Member Nation Authority (MNA) for the Cayman Islands is looking to employ a full time Sailing Instructor and National Youth Team Coach.

Applicants should be experienced instructors with internationally recognized qualifications for teaching dinghy and small keelboat sailing. They should have the ability to set up and manage programmes for youth learn to sail (including working with local school and youth groups), leading to more advanced racing programmes and overseas competition in addition to adult learn to sail and racing programmes.

Cayman Islands Sailing Club is a non profit organization and is also the National Authority for sailing in the Cayman Islands. A base salary plus commission is offered. Lithuania's Juozas Bernotas came out on top in the Men's RS:X whilst Russia's Stefania Elfutina was triumphant in the Women's RS:X. Both sailors claim the first Abu Dhabi ISAF Sailing World Cup Final spots whilst Jock Calvert (AUS) and Joanna Sterling (AUS) picked up the Oceanic spots for the Emirati finale.

A tight group of five young Papua New Guinean (PNG) Laser sailors are stepping up their 2015 Pacific Games competition program using this week's ISAF Sailing World Cup Melbourne. PNG is one of 33 countries represented at the important Oceanic event, the largest Olympic sailing regatta in the southern hemisphere.
