The Central South American Laser Radial Championship is down to the business end as the fleet was split into Gold and Silver on the penultimate day.
The Gold fleet featured sailors who were placed first to 42nd whilst the Silver gathered sailors from 43rd to 84th. And in gorgeous conditions the races started on time with competitors completing three races with wind of north northeast at nine knots.
With one day of competition remaining Cicilia Carranza Saroli leads the Gold fleet on 12 points. Lucia Falasca narrowly trails Saroli by two points and with one day remaining will be looking to overturn the deficit.
Meanwhile Tomas Dietrich sits in third place on 26 points.
In the Silver fleet Agustina Ronconi leads the pack on 110 points. Juan Manuel Blanco is on 113 points and Juan Prego is a single point behind Blanco on 114.
Today will be the last day of the championship for the Laser Radial class as the winners will be crowned. Tuesday will see the start of the Laser standard and Laser 4.7 classes.
