Tomas Siva is the new Portuguese Champion

Portuguese Optimist National Championship

After 5 days racing with a very strong wind , Tomás Silva, from Clube Naval de Cascais, became the new Portuguese Champion.
On the second day of the Championship he becames the lider, and he conserves it till the end of the championship. The other places of the podium were only decide in the last race, because there were 5 sailors that could stay in the second and trird palces. Duarte Matos Chaves, from Associação Naval de Lisboa, and João Vidinha, from Clube Naval de Cascias, were the ones who won the last race race and entered to the podium. Duarte Matos Chaves was Second and Joao Vidinha Trird.

In the girls everything was different. There Were five girls that could won the Championship. Ana Rocha, Ana Carvalho, Piedade Colaço, Mariana Rocha Ferreira and Joana Vargas, were the ones who compete for the title. But in the last day the things had to be decided. Joana Vargas and Mariana Rocha Ferreira sailed very bad in the last day so Ana Carvalho, Piedade Colaço and Ana Rocha became the podium menbers. Ana Carvalho is now the new Portuguese Girl Optimist Champion.

The team who will represent Portugal at the Worlds and at the European will be:
