He continued to sail rather consistently today in the Optimist class and after five races in this championship has managed to hold on to the first place which he gained on Day 2. His general placings are very similar to Malta's Benjie BORG who is right behind him with a very good chance of upsetting him if he continues to sail as well as he has been doing. But 12 year old Swedish sailor Niclas WALLIN who was tied in third place on Day 2 with Borg, is only a few points behind the duo with an equally good chance of moving up, in fact, in five races so far he was twice first over the line.

Italy's Federico MAGNANO (14 years) moved up into the fourth position ahead of Dutch girl Nina KEIJZER (13 years) who dropped to fifth position today following two days in first and second positions. The top five are followed closely by Tina LUTZ (13 years, Germany), Andrea BARCHIESI (13 years, Italy), Petter vane-Tempest (13 years, Finland), Alyson RUMBALL (13 years, Ireland) and Karl CREMONA (12 years,Malta).

In the Optimist Cadet class, it is Malta's Sean BORG (10 years) who is leading ahead of Sweden's Hampus APPELGREN (11 years) and Italy's Matteo SOLDANO.

In the other three Laser classes, the day's racing resulted as follows:

Laser Radial - This all-Maltese class sees Simon AQUILINA just ahead of Sebastian RIPARD and Zak BORG with Andrew SELVAGI and Alfred FENECH close behind.

Laser 4.7 - Malta's Christoph PODESTA was still in top position although UAE's Adel KHALID managed to improve his performance so far and was twice over the line first ahead of Podesta putting him just one point behind him. Yasmin de GIORGIO (Malta) held her third placing for the second day running while Matthew FLERI SOLER moved down to 4th place ahead of Emma Micallef, Jan Rossi and Daniel CALASCIONE. The 8th and 9th places remained the same with Yousef KHALID (UAE) just ahead of Liz APAP BOLOGNA.

Laser Standard - Mario AQUILINA continued to cross the line ahead of all the other competitors in this class and therefore easily held his first place. Neil BORG is right behind him with David DALLI and Aaron PODESTA close by. The rest of the class sees Joe MEILAK in 5th place followed by Kevin GRECH, Simon MIFSUD and Noel GRECH making up the classificiation.
