Laser 4.7 World Championship
Marine Muiderzand

The Laser 4.7 World Championship sailors had a well-earned lay day in racing at the mid point of the event yesterday.
Most took the opportunity to relax and spend some time sightseeing in and around Amsterdam, which for many of the sailors travelling from as far afield as Peru and Australia was a very new experience. Others spent the day on site, meeting new friends and checking over their boats after what has definitely been a windy qualifying series.

As we move into the finals with the fleets split as Gold and Silver for todays racing, the outlook is for clear skies and lighter winds. These will favour the lighter sailors who are looking to uproot current leader Croatian Tonci Stipanovic from his comfortable first place.

The four race finals series starts today and concludes with the presentation of the first Laser 4.7 World Championship trophy tomorrow evening.
