The RYA Active Marina programme will be running workshops ashore and afloat throughout the year from Own Boat Tuition through to shorebased navigation. Often combined with social events the programme offers something for everyone!
RYA Active Marina Programme Update:
Carrickfergus Marina became the first marina in Ireland to operate the RYA Active Marina Programme in 2012.
Julie Ferguson, Marina Manager at Carrickfergus said “Our aim through the RYA Active Marina Programme is to enhance our Berth Holders sailing experience and increase their confidence.
The complimentary tuition offered at Carrickfergus has given Berth Holders the confidence to get the best out of their boats in a social atmosphere.
We have already hosted 2 very successful seminars which incorporated topics such as Seamanship and Safety, Tides and Tidal Streams, Rules of the Road, Marina Etiquette and First Aid and have further events lined up for over the winter period”.
