The ISAF World Sailing Rankings for 21 September have been released.
Laser Radial
Evi Van Acker (BEL) remains at World #1 in the Laser Radial after a strong 12 months of sail boat racing.
China's Dongshuang Zhang moves up to World #8 from World #17 following victory at ISAF Sailing World Cup Qingdao, her third consecutive victory at the Chinese leg. Compatriot Min Gu took her first World Cup medal in Qingdao with a bronze and as a result moves up 29 places to World #41, a personal best.
Japan's Manami Doi narrowly missed out on a podium in Qingdao but leaps up the rankings from World #43 to #25.
Throughout the current period there were ten ranked Laser Radial events, ensuring movement across the 498 ranked sailors.
Laser
It remains an Australia 1-2 in the Laser with Tom Burton and Matthew Wearn remain atop of the tree following good results over the last 12 months.
In terms of movement with this Laser this month there are several sailors making gains in the rankings with 11 ranked regattas in the ranking period.
Lorenzo Chiavarini (GBR) makes the most significant move following his victory at ISAF Sailing World Cup Qingdao. By taking the full 200 points on offer the British sailor moves from World #23 from World #45. Chiavarini's position is his highest ranked place to date and his Qingdao victory also ensured his spot at the ISAF Sailing World Cup Final in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
An eighth in Qingdao moves Cy Thompson (ISV) up to a personal best of World #30, Sergey Komissarov's (RUS) sixth pushes him up to World #35 from #57 and Andrew Lewis' (TTO) tenth sees him at World #41, a climb of 22 spots.
The Aquece Rio - International Sailing Regatta 2015 was a 100-point regatta, Italy's Francesco Marrai sealed gold in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and occupies World #25.
Finn
Giles Scott (GBR) sits at the top of the Finn rankings with a perfect 1,000 points. Scott extended his unbeaten run at the Aquece Rio - International Sailing Regatta 2015 and is 80 points clear of Ivan Kljakovic Gaspic (CRO).
China's Lei Gong is the biggest climber in the Finn, jumping up 50 places to World #44. Gong claimed gold at ISAF Sailing World Cup Qingdao which also confirmed his nation a Finn place at Rio 2016.
Nacra 17
Following victory at the Aquece Rio - International Sailing Regatta 2015 Jason Waterhouse and Lisa Darmanin have taken World #1 for the first time.
The Australians wrapped up gold in Rio with in an exciting finale and as well as laying down a marker ahead of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, they took the full 100-points on offer from the regatta.
There's cause for Singapore's Justin Liu and Denise Lim to celebrate after their victory at ISAF Sailing World Cup Qingdao ensured they booked their nation a spot on the Rio 2016 startline. They move up to World #30 following their success.
Men's and Women's RS:X
Byron Kokkalanis (GRE) remains at the top of the tree in the Men's RS:X with Bryony Shaw (GBR) untouched in the Women's RS:X.
China's Aichen Wang has moved up to World #2 in the men's division following his success at the Aquece Rio - International Sailing Regatta 2014 and an eighth at World Cup Qingdao.
Qingdao gold medallist Chunzhuang Liu (CHN) moves up to World #18 which is his highest ever ranking position.
There's no budging Shaw and Lilian de Geus (NED) at the top of the women's fleet but Manjia Zheng (CHN) is just a point behind after a fourth in Qingdao.
Qingdao winner Jiahui Wu (CHN) moves up to World #5 from World #16.
Men's and Women's 470
Mat Belcher and Will Ryan (AUS) hold top spot in the Men's 470 with no change in the top four.
Onan Barreiros and Juan Curbelo Cabrera (ESP) move to World #5 following a third place at ISAF Sailing World Cup Qingdao with victors Hao Lan and Chao Wang climbing to World #17 from World #33.
In the Women's 470, there is no change in the top ten with Jo Aleh and Polly Powrie (NZL) holding firm. Gold at World Cup Qingdao keeps Japan's Ai Kondo Yoshida and Miho Yoshioka at World #3 whilst their compatriots who took silver in Qingdao move to World #23.
49er and 49erFX
Nathan Outteridge and Iain Jensen (AUS) sit top in the 49er. Peter Burling and Blair Tuke (NZL) are at World #3 with a perfect ranking score. However, the Kiwis only count points from three 200 point regattas whilst the Australians and World #2 John Pink and Stu Bithell (GBR) have points from four.
There is no change in the 49erFX as Martine Grael and Kahena Kunze (BRA) retain World #1 followed by Alex Maloney and Molly Meech (NZL) and Jena Mai Hansen and Katja Salskov-Iversen (DEN).
Men's and Women's Kiteboarding
Russia's Elena Kalinina has a perfect ranking score in the Women's Kiteboarding. Top scores from the 200-point IKA World Championship and from three 100-point events give her a solid advantage over the chasing riders.
In the Men's , Spain's Alejandro Climent Hernandez moves to World #1 followed by Florian Gruber (GER) and Oliver Bridge (GBR).
