By promoting an environment for training and recruitment, we hope to encourage UK marine based companies to invest in training for the benefit of the industry. Content:  Health & Safety, DC & AC Circuits, (Ohm’s Law, Volt Drop), Cable Characteristics, AC Circuits, Circuit Diagrams & Conventions, Test & Measurement Equipment, Practical: Circuits & Testing, Generators & Motors, Distribution Systems, Batteries, Battery Bank Calculations, Battery Charging, Cables & Terminations, Revision.

  • British Marine Members - £328 + VAT (includes BMEEA Code of Practice and BMET Exam)
  • Non-Members - £583 + VAT (includes BMEEA Code of Practice and BMET Exam)

MARINE ELECTRONICS INSTALLER COURSE (9:00 – 17:00)

       
  • 28 October 2015 - Northampton
  • 17 February 2016 - Norwich
  • 13 April 2016 - Poole

This is an introductory course (aimed at people with at least one year's experience) in marine electronics installation which clarifies and defines competent installation practices. Topics include ground systems, electrical systems, equipment installation and data communications. A Marine Electronics Installer has demonstrated this proficiency by passing an examination designed to measure understanding of those principles. 

  • British Marine Members - £310 + VAT (includes NMEA standard and licence fee)
  • Non-Members - £412 + VAT (includes NMEA standard and licence fee)
