Racing Coach Level 2 (Keelboat) 

Keelboat race coaching is a growing market.  More and more owners are looking for help and seeing the importance of training with a qualified coach.  This course should be the first port of call for all aspiring keelboat coaches.

Dates:  13th - 15th November 2015 (Start Friday 6pm, Finish Sunday 5pm)

Venue:  Weymouth, RYA Portland House

Price: £125
Accommodation is available at Portland House at extra cost and to be sorted by candidates.

Details: This 2.5 day course deals with the latest methods and techniques for getting the best from any yacht racing team. It uses best practices taken from our Olympic coaches and provides a unique insight into the practical and legal issues of race coaching.

The course will be run by an RYA team of racing experts, lead by Duncan West (RYA Race Coach Lead Tutor).

Criteria for the course:

  • To be an active keelboat racer
  • To have a passion for the sport and coaching others
  • To be over 18 years old
  • To be an RYA member
  • Have a valid RYA approved First Aid and Powerboat Level 2 certificates

The successful candidates will be awarded the RYA Racing Coach Level 2 (Keelboat) award.
