Job title: Director of Sailing
Based: Bermuda
Full time: start 1 January 2016
|
Reporting to the General Manager and Rear Commodore, Sailing this person will be responsible for design and management of year round club sailing and education programmes.
Accountabilities:
- Sailing academy budgets
- Design, coordinate and manage sailing programmes for juniors, youths and adults.
- Implement RYA methodology and safety standards
- Create and promote a structured learning environment
- Sailing administration
- Responsible for maintenance, repair, purchase and protection of assets
- Hiring of sailing staff
- Promote RBYC's sailing activities throughout Bermuda and overseas as appropriate
Requirements:
- RYA Senior Instructor, Powerboat Instructor, Racing Level 2 and above
- RYA First Aid Certificate
- Keelboat and catamaran endorsements highly recommended
- Three years’ minimum experience in similar position
- Excellent leadership, communication, organisation, and mediation skills.
- Computer literacy with Word and Excel
- Enthusiastic, diplomatic, flexible, trustworthy, self-motivated, creative, able to take the initiative and follow through
- Willing to work weekends and public holidays when required.

Job title: Advanced Racing Coach
Based: Bermuda
Full time: start 1 January 2016

RYA Racing Level 2 coach or above required.
Reporting to our Director of Sailing and responsible for the primary coaching development of Optimist/Laser/RS Feva racing squad members. The successful candidate will teach the following under the direction of the Sailing Director and regularly work outside normal hours:
- All courses within the RYA adult and youth sailing scheme
- RYA Powerboat Level 2
- Help develop Bermudian sailors to become RYA Dinghy Instructors.
Qualifications:
- RYA Senior Instructor – endorsements for catamaran and keelboats recommended.
- RYA Racing Level 2 or above
- RYA First Aid Certificate
- Child protection qualifications
- RYA Powerboat Instructor
Experience and attributes:
- Success in racing and coaching Optimist and high performance dinghy racing.
- Active, physically fit, committed and enthusiastic.
- Working with children, teens and adults.

Job title: Chief Dinghy Instructor
Based: Ashford, Middlesex
Full time: immediate or start pre March 2016
Salary: £17,000 - £19,000

QMSC are looking for a RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor to take the Chief Dinghy Instructor role on a full time, permanent basis. The role requires a flexible approach with the successful candidate working a 35hr contract over weekends, evenings and bank holidays as required. Typical working week Wednesday - Sunday.
Experience & Qualifications:
Essential:
- RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a RTC as an active SI
- Valid FA certificate
Desirable:
- Keelboat endoresement (highly desirable)
- Multihull/Racing/Advanced Dinghy Instructor endorsements
- Start/Intermediate/Advanced Windsurf Instructor
- RYA Powerboat Instructor
- Good racing knowledge
- Experience in providing safety cover for racing events
- Gel coat/Fibre glass repair
