Despite Paralympic gold medallist SEGUIN's near monopoly on victories he still only holds a five points lead at the top on the single-person keelboat leaderboard contested in the 2.4 Metre. Kieler Woche winner Heiko KRÖGER (GER), who finished fourth at the Paralympics in Athens, is keeping SEGUIN in check and scored another two second places yesterday to lie second on ten points. Meanwhile Paralympic bronze medallist, Thierry SCHMITTER (NED) got the better of Helena LUCAS (GBR) in their battle for third, with a bullet in the day's first race helping the Dutch sailor to climb above the Britain with the two on 15 and 16 points respectively. Canada's Paul TINGLEY has recovered well from finishing 24th in the opening race and finishes of 8,5,7 yesterday put him fifth overall.

In the three-person keelboat Sonar fleet, STORDAHL, WANG-HANSEN and EUGEN KRISTIANSEN edged ahead of John ROBERTSON, Hannah STODEL and Stephen THOMAS (GBR) thanks to bullets in races four and six. However, with their British rivals following them in in second in both of these races, things are still tight at the top with just two points separating the leaders.

Paralympic gold medallists Dror COHEN, Efrati ARNON and Benny VEXLER (ISR) scored a third a second and a discarded DNF yesterday and stay third, although they now lie eight points from the top spot. The German teams of Jens KROKER, Holger SCHONENBERG and Tobias SCHUETZ and Olaf JAKOBS, Hans-Peter REICHL and Peter MUNTER traded places and now lie fourth and fifth respectively.

A reserve day is scheduled for today with the final two races set the decide the outcome of the 2005 IFDS Disabled Sailing World Championship tomorrow.
