Support Staff For ISAF Youth Worlds

Yachting Australia is calling for expressions of interest for support staff for the Australian Team for the Volvo Youth Sailing ISAF World Championship 2006, taking place in Weymouth, Great Britain from 12-21 July.

Australian Team members will be residing across the nation, exact locations cannot be confirmed until the Team is selected in February. Athletes will train and compete in the following classes: Laser, Laser Radial, Hobie 16 with spinnaker, 420 and Neil Pryde RS:X.

The ISAF Youth World Championship is being held from 12-21 July in Great Britain and it is anticipated that the team will leave Australia a few days prior to this.

Expressions of interest are sought for any or all of the following:

Coaching support on a day to day basis in Australia

During team camps and regattas conducted in Australia

During the ISAF Youth World Championship

Please forward expressions of interest detailing the support you are offering, your particular areas of interest and expertise, and current coaching qualifications to Natalie FRANCIS at Yachting Australia by 17 February 2006.

Lithuania's Juozas Bernotas came out on top in the Men's RS:X whilst Russia's Stefania Elfutina was triumphant in the Women's RS:X. Both sailors claim the first Abu Dhabi ISAF Sailing World Cup Final spots whilst Jock Calvert (AUS) and Joanna Sterling (AUS) picked up the Oceanic spots for the Emirati finale.

A tight group of five young Papua New Guinean (PNG) Laser sailors are stepping up their 2015 Pacific Games competition program using this week's ISAF Sailing World Cup Melbourne. PNG is one of 33 countries represented at the important Oceanic event, the largest Olympic sailing regatta in the southern hemisphere.
