The event began with two days of light winds, and there are two more days racing to go, so there could be plenty of changes in the results yet to come.

Signe Livbjerg (DEN) scored two bullets yesterday to take over the lead of the Europe class. Whilst Paul Goodison in the Laser class suffered equipment failure in race one of the day, but still managed a 10th position. He was back on form for race five to maintain a relatively comfortable overall lead.

Sofia Bekatorou and Emilia Tsoulfa (GRE) ranked number one on the ISAF World rankings lead the 470 women. Whilst Javier Conte and Juan De La Fuente (ARG) lead the 470 men.

The Germans are on good form in the Star class taking the top two positions, with Hendrik Witzmann and Markus Mahlen (GER) leading.

In their home country Fernando Echavarri and Anton Paz (ESP) lead the Tornado fleet, and Santiago Lopez-Vazquez and Javier De La Plaza ESP the 49ers.

Ben Ainslie (GBR) was originally scored OCS for race five in the Finn class, but got redress in the protest room last night and 6 position. So Ainslie maintains his lead in the in his first international regatta in the Finn Class.

The French are at the top in the Mistral fleets with Faustine Merret (FRA) leading the women and Alexandre Guyader (FRA) the men. Sydney Gold Medallist Alessandra Sensini is currently third in the women.

Annelies Thies and Annemieke Bes and Petronella De Jong (NED) are leading the Yngling's.
