Sail Auckland day 4 was as frustratingly light as day one Friday. With barely any breeze at all, competitors were left waiting on shore, hoping the breeze would build.
Mid afternoon, around 3pm we managed another race, but the dying breeze made it long and slow with a number of boats and boards not completing the race.

A total of 9 of the scheduled 12 races were completed and the boards only 8 due to 2 days of very little wind. With only 1 race on the final day not much changed in most of classes. The exception to this was the Laser, where Dan SLATER(NZL)and Andrew MURDOCH(NZL) were on equal points, Dan leading on countback.

Andrew managed to edge past Dan Slater with his 3rd placing in the last race. Dan had a 6th place putting him in second place. Jake BARTROM maintained his lead in the Laser Radial, however second placed Craig PRENTICE (NZL) and third placed Mark ORAMS(NZL) swapped positions.

Maxin OBEREMKO (UKR) kept his comfortable lead in the Mistral class. Ok DUCK-Pil (KOR) had been in second place for most of the regatta but dropped back to fifth place after not finishing the last race, allowing David ROBERTSON (NZL), rising youth sailor to move up to second position with a fourth in the final outing. After finishing in third place, Matthew MCCORMICK (NZL) moved up the leaderboard to third place overall in the final results.

In the Mistral women's fleet, Barbara KENDALL (NZL) maintained her lead to Olga MASLIVETS (UKR) second and Sheena MCKINNON (NZL) third. In the 470 class Stephen and Philip KEEN maintained their comfortable lead despite forfeiting the last race by swapping positions and being disqualified. A first placing in the final race for women's team of Shelley HESSON and Linda DICKSON moved them up to third place in the final results.
