Star South American Championship 2007
Mar del Planta, Argentina

Gastao BRUN and Marco LAGOA (BRA) lead after the opening day of the ISAF Grade C1 Star South American Championship, with Brazil occupying the top two spots in Mar del Planta, Argentina. Seventeen crews from four nations are contesting the championship.
BRUN and LAGOA opened up their series with a second place and a bullet, scores matched by Alessandro PASCOLATTO and Henry BOENING (BRA), who tie their countrymen for the lead.

Julio LABANDEIRA and Enrique DELLA TORRE (ARG) are the best placed of the Argentinean crews in third place, three points off the leaders following a 3,3 start.

Racing continues through until 24 March, with six races scheduled and one discard counting after race 4.
