Aquece Rio - International Sailing Regatta 2015
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

The starters gun will sound at the earlier time of 12:00 at the Aquece Rio - International Sailing Regatta with the RS:X fleets set to conclude their competition.
It's been a challenging couple of days for the sailors and the Race Committee with some challenging breeze but the forecast looks good for 20 August.

A southern breeze in between 5-10 knots is expected inside and outside of Guanabara Bay with all six racing areas to be used.

At the 2014 test event big waves were present on the outside racing areas, causing the author of this daily preview a bout of sea sickness. Southern waves are forecast to be present outside of Guanabara Bay today reaching 2.5-3.0 metres with the author staying on-shore, suitably replaced by ISAF's photographers.

It's Medal Race day for the RS:X fleets who will test the Pão de Açúcar racing area from 12:00 local time. In the men's division Aichen Wang (CHN) is well positioned to take gold whilst in the women's it'll be a shootout between Charline Picon (FRA), Malgorzata Bialecka (POL) and Blanca Manchon (ESP).

The remaining fleets are all scheduled to sail with an additional race for all as the Race Management team look to catch up on the schedule.
