Another New Face Joins ISAF Marketing And Media Team

Mandy Holt Joins ISAF Secretariat

Mandy Holt has joined the Secretariat of the International Sailing Federation (ISAF) in the role of Secretary to the Marketing and Media Department

Mandy's background ranges from working in fitness before coming to the UK to work as a legal receptionist for Blake Lapthorn Tarlo Lyons, a medical secretary for the NHS and a secretary to Technical and Planning Director at Taylor Wimpey.

Mandy says, "Having been brought up in South Africa I have spent a lot of time enjoying outdoor sports ranging from cycling to swimming and I am a big fan of anything fast. I was attracted to this job because it incorporates everything I love about sport and I am very keen to learn more about it."

The ISAF Marketing and Media department is a small team with an ever increasing role including ISAF's Marketing, Corporate Identity, Sponsorship, Press & Media Relations, TV Production & Distribution, Internet and Awards..

Claire Frost, Head of ISAF Marketing and Media said, "I am delighted to welcome Mandy on board our busy team. Her past experience and enthusiasm will be a great asset to our future plans."

Lithuania's Juozas Bernotas came out on top in the Men's RS:X whilst Russia's Stefania Elfutina was triumphant in the Women's RS:X. Both sailors claim the first Abu Dhabi ISAF Sailing World Cup Final spots whilst Jock Calvert (AUS) and Joanna Sterling (AUS) picked up the Oceanic spots for the Emirati finale.

A tight group of five young Papua New Guinean (PNG) Laser sailors are stepping up their 2015 Pacific Games competition program using this week's ISAF Sailing World Cup Melbourne. PNG is one of 33 countries represented at the important Oceanic event, the largest Olympic sailing regatta in the southern hemisphere.
