Irish Sailing Association News
Dublin, Ireland

The Race Management Advisory Group took on board the feedback from last year's ISA Convention and have decided to go 'Back to Basics' for the 2005 Convention on Sunday 30 January.
The Principal Speakers will be International Race Officers, who have widespread experience of officiating at Local, Regional, National and International Regattas. Each International Race Officer will make a presentation on one aspect of an event, from pre-regatta planning to post regatta. A question and answer session will be held immediately afterwards, which will benefit all levels of Race Officer whether new into race management or seeking upgrading.

Olympian John TWOMEY will speak on the requirements of Disabled Sailing and Bill O'HARA will explain the Rule changes for 2005-2008 as they affect Race Management. There will also be a very interesting workshop session on rule interpretation presented by Ron
HUTCHIESON, International Judge.
